US Census: 50% Increase in Bicycle Commuting Between 2000 and 2010

According to US Census Bureau data, between 2000 and 2010 there was a 50% increase in the number of Americans for whom a bicycle was their primary means of transportation to work.

The full article reporting this statistic can be found here.  Included is an interactive “Alternative Means of Transportation” US map where data can be examined for many cities, including several in Wisconsin.  Unfortunately, Stevens Point is not among the cities with data available, presumably because our population is too small.
