On Saturday August 11, the Tour de Boys & Girls Club Bike-a-thon will, as described in the event brochure, bring “family, friends, co-workers and neighbors together for a fun-filled ride through picturesque Portage County.”

Participants in the Tour de Boys & Girls Club can choose among several loop bicycle rides of various lengths.

The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County puts this event on annually to raise funds for the programs they provide to local youth.  Bike-a-thon organizers say that last year’s event had over 250 participants, and they hope to have even more participants this year.
