Bike Fun Report: June Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic

Yesterday, a group of eight Poky Pedalers shared Bike Fun on the June Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic.

It was quite warm – probably around 90 degrees – as we left Goerke Park at 5:30 PM. A steady breeze helped make it feel cooler as we took a route avoiding busy streets to our first stop at the Division St Copps. We encountered a bit of road construction that took us a few blocks out of our way, but that simply extended our pleasant ride.

After stocking up on picnic goodies, we then headed back north to the Civil War Monument directly across from City Hall on Church St. The grassy area there provided a nice picnic spot with plenty of shade. All enjoyed the variety of food and drink contributions.

After we had our fill of food and conversation, we hopped back on our bikes and returned to Goerke Park well before sunset.

I enjoyed sharing Bike Fun with all the Poky Pedalers who came along.
