Despite ominous forecasts, the weather turned out to be quite pleasant for last night’s Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic. Oppressive heat and the threat of rain kept the numbers down, but the 4 Poky Pedalers who braved the elements were treated to a lovely evening.

Leaving Goerke Park, our destination was the small grassy area where the west bank of the Wisconsin River meets the south side of the Clark St Bridge. A pleasant breeze cooled us as we ate and soaked up the views from the river’s edge. Upon finishing our feast, we casually returned to our starting point.

Although 4 more Poky Pedals are scheduled to spread Bike Fun in 2012, only one more Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic remains. So circle August 21 on your calendar and show up at Goerke Park at 5:15 PM for the final PPPP of this year.
