Busy Bike Fun week kicks off with Tuesday’s Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic

The Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic this Tuesday June 18 is the first event of a particularly busy week for Poky Pedalers. On Friday, PPSP will be presenting a workshop at the MREA Energy Fair entitled “Bike Fun: An Unorthodox Approach to Bicycle Advocacy”. Then on Saturday is the PPSP Ornamental Water Well Bell-Ringer Ride.

The Upcoming Poky Pedals page has a summary of all this Bike Fun. Look for more info about these latter two Bike Fun opportunities on the PPSP blog later this week.

The monthly PPPP will meet Tuesday 6/18 at 5:15 PM in Goerke Park near the entrance to the swimming pool. As usual, at 5:30 PM we’ll start our ride of 3-5 miles to a mystery park location where we’ll enjoy our scrumptious feast in the company of friendly Poky Pedalers. Once our potluck picnic is complete, we’ll ride back to Goerke Park.

The PPPP is free and there is no need to signup. Just show up with your bicycle and be ready to share in the Bike Fun.

For those unable to plan ahead and prepare a picnic dish, bring a few bucks to purchase a potluck contribution (no alcohol) at the food store stop along the way.

If you aren’t sure what to expect or what sort of food or drink to bring on the PPPP, you can learn more on the Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic page from the Poky Pedals menu above. You can also read the Are Poky Pedals Family Friendly? page from the FAQ menu for a description of what happens during a Poky Pedal.

The weather forecast looks spectacular for Tuesday afternoon. There will be some rain and storms on Monday, but these should pass and there is nothing but sun and pleasant temps predicted for Tuesday.

Keep an eye on the blog to learn about the other Bike Fun events coming this week. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to sharing Bike Fun with lots of Poky Pedalers on Tuesday.
