Although there will be several more Poky Pedals between now and October, the final Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic for this year is on Tuesday August 20. As usual, it will meet at Goerke Park at 5:15 PM near the entrance to the swimming pool.
Each PPPP involves a 3- to 5-mile ride on calm streets and non-motorized paths to a mystery park location that is different each time. We always stop at a food store along the way, so those who don’t bring something from home can simply purchase a potluck item to share.
I always bring a heapin’ helpin’ of my 7 ‘P’ Salad. The recipe for these Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnic Palate Pleasin’ Potatoes can be found here.
Once our picnic ends, I’ll ride back to Goerke Park with those who want to return to our starting location. We typically get back before it starts getting dark.
All Poky Pedals are free, there is no need to sign-up, and all Poky Pedalers are welcome. If you have never been on a PPPP and want a bit more information, check out this post.
It appears we can look forward to nice weather on Tuesday. The forecast for the evening indicates temps in the mid-80’s with a pleasant breeze.
So Tuesday looks to be a great opportunity to hop on your bicycle and share some Bike Fun. See you then.
