Earlier this evening, fourteen Poky Pedalers shared a delightful evening of Bike Fun on the monthly Poky Pizza Pedal.
After gathering at Point Area Bicycle Service, we charted a course towards the neighborhoods northeast of downtown beyond the UWSP campus. Our 4-mile bicycle ride on calm streets and non-motorized paths allowed us to admire the wonderful neighborhoods in that area. The comfortable sunny weather made our excursion all the more enjoyable.
Upon returning downtown, we made our way to Arbuckles, our pizza destination. Their patio proved to be an excellent spot to enjoy the pleasant evening temps as we partook in our delicious pizza feast. As always, the staff at Arbuckles was wonderful in attending to our needs. I want to thank everyone at Arbuckles for contributing to our splendid evening.
We had a special guest join us for our Poky Pizza Pedal. Jeff Ross is our local Bicycle Ambassador for the Wisconsin Bike Fed. He rode along with us, and while we waited for our pizza, he told us a bit about the Bike Fed and its Share and Be Aware program. He also shared some bicycle safety tips with us. Thank you, Jeff, for your work with the Bike Fed and for sharing your messages with Poky Pedalers.
Tonight was our final Poky Pizza Pedal for 2015, but there is still more Bike Fun with PPSP over the next few months. You can get all the details on the Upcoming Poky Pedals webpage and the 2015 Bike Fun Calendar. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss any of the remaining Bike Fun with PPSP this year.
