The Bike/Ped Plan Vision Ride took place on August 23, 2014 and on July 19, 2015. This Poky Pedal focused on what the Portage County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is about. As part of that Poky Pedal, there was a 12-page pamphlet handed out containing much of the information discussed during that ride.
This handout can be downloaded via the link below. (Note that the PDF is 6.6 MB in size.)
The 6 pages of the downloaded handout (the 7th blank page should be ignored) are intended to be printed on two sides. When those 3 sheets are assembled properly, they can be folded in half to form a 12-page pamphlet. This explains the odd page ordering you’ll see in the downloaded document. (If you don’t print it out this way, you’ll just have to do a bit more work to follow the ordering of the pamphlet.)
Here is what you’ll find in the handout (page numbers refer to the pages after assembling the 12-page pamphlet):
- front page: URL to where you can find links to the full Portage County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan document
- p. 2: summary of selected plan goals, objectives, and policies
- p. 3-7: brief descriptions and pictures of the various biking and walking accommodations discussed during the Bike/Ped Plan Vision Ride
- p. 8: brief summary of the Safe Routes to School portion of the plan
- p. 9-11: listing of the locations visited (in order) during the Bike/Ped Plan Vision Ride and the recommendations from the plan for each
- p. 12 (back page): brief overview of what the Portage County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is and how it was created
