Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnics

Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnics always meet at Goerke Park near the entrance to the swimming pool.  Plan to show up at 5:30 PM, since we’ll start riding at 5:45 PM.

We’ll ride between 3 to 5 miles to a mystery park location where we’ll socialize and dine on a potluck picnic.  We ride to a different park on every ride.

Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnics are free, as are all Poky Pedals.  We will ride slowly as a group, staying on calm streets and non-motorized paths and obeying all traffic laws.  All Poky Pedalers are welcome.

Since it is a potluck, please bring a food or drink contribution to share.  Please do not bring beer, wine, or other alcohol – all Poky Pedaling Potluck Picnics are alcohol-free.

Poky Pedaling Stevens Point will bring plates, utensils, and cups for Poky Pedalers to use, but you are encouraged to bring your own.

If you feel uncertain about what food to bring, you are welcome to be as fancy or as plain as you choose. The culinary experts may want to bring some sort of creative homemade salad or main dish or dessert. But if cooking isn’t your thing or you just don’t have the time, simply bring a bag of cherry tomatoes or carrots or almonds or potato chips or cookies. Or a jar of pickles or some crackers and dip. Or a bottle of juice or soda. You can even order a pizza beforehand and strap it onto your rear rack. Whatever you bring will work and will be appreciated just the same.

Once our potluck is complete, Poky Pedaling Stevens Point will ride back to Goerke Park with all those who wish to return to our starting location.  It could be around dusk while we ride to Goerke Park – although the intent is to return while it is still light out, cloud cover or delay may result in riding back during low-light conditions.  Poky Pedalers are encouraged to equip their bicycles with a front light and rear reflector or light to ensure a safe and legal ride back.

Poky Pedaling Stevens Point looks forward to sharing Bike Fun with you!
