Come share Bike Fun that offers a short after-work ride followed by an opportunity for socializing over food and drink.
Poky Pizza Pedals meet at Point Area Bicycle Service (PABS), located at 1311 Strongs Ave in downtown Stevens Point between Main St and Clark St (one block south of Shopko). Plan to arrive at around 5:30 PM, since we’ll start riding at around 5:45 PM.
The owner/mechanic of PABS, John Pawlak, has kindly agreed to pump up tires (for free) for Poky Pedalers before we start riding. If you ask him nicely, he might even do a quick minor adjustment of your seat height or brakes at no charge.
Once we’re all ready, we’ll head off on a 4-mile urban loop ride – the route will vary from ride to ride. We will ride slowly in one group, staying on calm streets and non-motorized paths while obeying all traffic rules.
Upon returning to downtown, we’ll congregate at one of the pizza places on or near Main St where we’ll enjoy food, beverage, and conversation among Poky Pedalers. Our pizza destination will always be within a few blocks from where we start.
Poky Pizza Pedals are free, as are all Poky Pedals. (If you intend to purchase food or drink, bring cash for that.) All Poky Pedalers are welcome.
