August 24 Wednesday
Poky Pizza Pedal
Meet at 5:30 PM at Point Area Bike Service (1311 Strongs Ave), ride at 5:45 PM

Free air in your tires, followed by a slow 4 mile urban loop ride
Ends at a downtown pizza place for enjoying food, beverage, and socializing

August 28 Sunday
Pokiest Pedaler in Stevens Point – challenge & tournament
part of PABS Bicycle Adventure Extravaganza
BAE starts at 1 PM at Point Area Bicycle Service (1311 Strongs Ave)
This is the third annual Bicycle Adventure Extravaganza staged by Point Area Bicycle Service. The BAE, which is free of charge, will last all afternoon and is somewhat hard to describe. It is definitely a carnival of Bike Fun, though. Here is how PABS puts it: “Included in this year’s adventure is an awesome photo/found items scavenger hunt, a bunch of excellent challenge checkpoints, a poker run, a costume contest, 8 super-secret hidden clue checkpoints, and an amazing after-party & potluck with musical guests Armchair Boogie!”

This year’s BAE will include a competition to crown the Pokiest Pedaler in Stevens Point. One of the checkpoints will include a challenge requiring adventurers to ride a short path as slowly as possible to accumulate BAE points. The slowest adventurers over the course of the day will qualify to compete in a slow-race tournament at the after-party to determine the Pokiest Pedaler in Stevens Point. This is an honor any Poky Pedaler would certainly covet.
